TORO TORO NATIONAL PARK

 

The Toro Toro National Park is a protected area in Bolivia with diverse and wonderful landscapes shaped by wild fauna and flora, fossils of various species, cave paintings and other archaeological remains. It is located in the province of Charcas in the north of the department of Potosí with an area of 165.700 square kilometers.

Itinerary

Day 1

Cochabamba, Toro Toro, Dinosaur Footprints.

  • Private transfer from Cochabamba city to Toro Toro (approximate travel time: 3 hours).
  • Beginning of walk downhill to Las Golondrinas waterfall, it can be seen several dinosaur footprints of high and low relief. You can also enjoy the water pools, where you can bathe.
  • Return to Toro Toro and visit to the Pachamama Wasj Lithic Museum.
  • Stay at the hotel.

Includes: lodging, lunch and dinner.

Day 2

Itas City, Umajalanta Cavern.

  • Departure to Itas City, a series of rock formations can be seen rising to almost 4.000 meters high, it has labyrinths and stone galleries in the shape of a “Gothic City”, caves with narrow corridors, stone bridges and cave paintings can also be seen.
  • Travel to Umajalanta Cavern, where you can see stalactites, stalagmites and blind fish.
  • Return to the hotel at Toro Toro.

Includes: lodging, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 3

Huayllas Hill, El Vergel Waterfalls, Cochabamba.

  • Visit to Huayllas hill, where there are tracks of different species of dinosaurs.
  • Stop at the Hanging Viewpoint, where you can see the red-fronted macaws.
  • Walk to El Vergel waterfalls and return to Toro Toro.
  • Private transfer to the lodging place or to any specific location in Cochabamba city requested by the client.

  • Additional private transfers can be made from/to Jorge Wilsterman International Airport at client’s request, it has an additional cost.
